New Year, New Beginning

I’m excited to announce that, at the end of the year, I’m starting a new job at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, a global pharmaceutical company producing life-saving therapies for patients since their founding in 1781. I previously worked at Takeda as a contractor on intranet projects for several years, and am deeply honored to have this opportunity.

I’ll be taking on the role of Platform Success Manager, helping users throughout Takeda to more effectively use Microsoft 365 and other technologies. In this role I’ll help internal users to work in new ways and be more productive, engaged and inclusive in a world of remote and hybrid work. The ability to have impact in a large, complex, global organization committed to bringing “Better Health and a Brighter Future” to millions of patients around the world is truly energizing, as is the opportunity to be part of the world-class team at Takeda.

Actually, I’m going from one world-class team to another, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to thank my friends and colleagues at Sympraxis Consulting for the opportunities they’ve afforded me. The past 3 years have been eventful for everyone and I’m no exception, both professionally and personally. I appreciate their support through it all, and the Sympraxian commitment to both excellence and community. I hope to sustain status as “FoS” (Friend of Sympraxis) for a long time to come.

Amid all this change, a few things should stay relatively constant: I look forward to more engagement in communities that offer learning and leadership, especially:

· The Microsoft 365 technology community, via events like User Groups, CollabDays M365 New England, and others.

· SIM Boston, a premier IT Leadership organization focused on programs, networking and outreach in the communities where we live and work. If you’re a technology leader (or aspiring leader) in New England, get in touch about how to join SIM Boston!

Thanks to everyone who has helped me along my career path, and I look forward to connecting with you in 2023.
